Zaterdag, 1 juli, begonnen we rond de middag onze feesttenten op te slagen op ons festival terrein. Het regende vollenbak maar daar trokken we ons niets van aan.
Tegen 17u waren we volledig klaar. Tenten stonden recht, drank was aanwezig, vuurkorf was geplaatst, hapjes gehaald, …. dat beloofde weer een schitterende avond te worden.
Omstreeks 17u30 kwamen de eerste festivalgangers aan en begonnen onmiddellijk hun tenten op te slagen. Na enige tijd, stond onze camping al goed gevuld.
Ondertussen hadden we ook nog te horen geweest dat Vlaanderen Feest en camera man naar Ten Aard had gestuurd. Hoe ze ons altijd vinden is ons een raadsel, maar met zo’n mega toffe buurt zal het wel niet zo moeilijk zijn zeker?
Het kampvuur werd aangemaakt en na het opzetten van de tenten, verzamelde we ons rond ons rond de vlammen. Bob VDP had zijn accordion boven gehaald en al snel galmden de eerst volksliederen over het plein.
Na de zangstonden waagden we ons aan een echte volksdans. Dat de sfeer erin zat, kan je zien op de foto’s en het filmpje.
Na het dansen was er nog een hapje en een drankje. De kinderen genoten van hun Marchmallow en de grote mensen van de “op open vuur gebakken worstjes”.
Om 23u sloten we stilaan af en was het tijd om onze tentjes op te zoeken!
Zondag morgen, na een zalige nacht in de buitenlucht, stond er nog een heus ontbijtbuffet te wachten. De tent liep weer goed vol en iedereen genoot met volle teugen van de deugdoend ontbijt.
Toen alle magen gevuld waren, was er nog de garageverkoop in Ten Aard.
Zondag middag werden de overschot van de broodjes met een lekker soepje (bedankt Joke!!!) verorberd.
’s Avonds werden er nog hamburgers gebakken en sloten we af met een ijsje!
Het was alweer een geweldig activiteit waar groot en klein van genoten heeft.
(Allé, dat hopen we toch 😉 )
